How we look after your details
Last updated 27 October 2026
We only want your details so we can talk to you about your floor. This page explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are.
Who we are
Floors for Living
41 Galgate, Barnard Castle DL12 8EJ
Phone: 01833 695875
Email: sales@floorsforliving.co.uk
Legal business name: [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME]
ICO registration number: [ICO NUMBER]
We are the data controller. That means we decide how your details are used and we are responsible for looking after them.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through the form on our website, we ask for your first name, phone number and email address. We need all three to send the form.
You can also tell us, if you want to:
- a message about your room
- the types of floor you are interested in, and when you are thinking of doing it
- your postcode
The form also sends us some details automatically. We store them with your enquiry so we can measure which of our adverts and campaigns bring us enquiries:
- the advert or campaign that brought you here (campaign tags in the link you clicked)
- advertising click IDs from Facebook or Google
- the website you came from
- the page you landed on
We also use your IP address to check that you are a real person and to limit spam. We do not store the address itself. We store only a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of it.
Why we use your details
- To reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. You have contacted us, and replying is what you would expect.
- To understand which of our adverts and channels bring us enquiries. This uses the campaign and referrer details above. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
- To keep the site secure and free of spam. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
We do not sell your data. We do not send you marketing from this form.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are deleted automatically after 12 months.
If you go on to buy from us, we keep the records we need for your order, guarantees and our accounts separately. We keep those for as long as the law and the job require.
Where your data is kept and who handles it
Your enquiry is stored in a database run by Supabase. The database is hosted in Ireland, inside the European Economic Area (EEA).
These companies process data on our behalf:
- Supabase stores your enquiry.
- Resend sends us an email about each enquiry.
- Cloudflare runs the Turnstile spam check on the form.
- GitHub hosts the website.
- GoDaddy looks after our domain and email.
Some of these are US companies, so your data may be transferred outside the UK. When that happens, it is protected by the safeguards the UK GDPR requires.
Our pages load Google Fonts, so Google can receive your IP address when a page opens. The map in the Visit section only loads if you choose to load it. If you do, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies.
Cookies
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. The enquiry form does not use cookies or browser storage. The campaign details described above are held in the page only while you fill in the form.
Two things on our site can set cookies from the companies that run them:
- Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam protection on the enquiry form.
- The Google Map, but only if you choose to load it.
We do not control those cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the details we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- ask us to delete your details
- ask us to restrict how we use them
- object to how we use them
To use any of these rights, email sales@floorsforliving.co.uk. We aim to reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
